Dr. Basmattee Boodram is Research Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health and a 10 year member of the Community Outreach Intervention Projects, a center-like group within the School of Public Health that since 1986 has conducted research and provided services related to illicit drug use and associated infectious diseases. Dr. Boodram is an active research epidemiologist who is currently the Principal Investigator of three funded projects that covers a wide range of topics, including risk and geographic network, computational modeling and linkage to care.
Research:
Her current research focus is to examine social network and geographic risk factors for HIV and HCV among young persons who inject drugs.
